Mob Psycho 100 III Episode 5 Recap
Mob makes his way to the entrance of the giant broccoli. While walking, he hears a voice saying Psycho Helmet is a new God. Eventually, Mob sees Hanazawa unconscious and wrapped in tree branches. He confronts the voice, knowing that Dimple is behind the chaos. Dimple continues convincing Mob to join the Psycho Helmet religion as its other leader. Dimple insists it would be a wasted opportunity for Mob’s powers if he declines the invitation. Either way, Mob refuses. He’s angry since Dimple brainwashed the whole town.
Dimple explains the brainwashing process and the current phase of his plan. Mob says he doesn’t get Dimple’s motives, telling it’s pointless to become a God. Dimple tries to downplay the brainwashing by saying he didn’t change people’s personalities. Mob calls Dimple a coward because of what he’s done. He frees Hanazawa from the roots, but Hanazawa suddenly tries to talk Mob out of fighting Dimple. Hanazawa attacks Mob in defense of the Psycho Helmet religion. He sends Mob to the bottom of the tree where Mob realizes how dangerous the roots are.
Mob returns to the top and wonders why Dimple isn’t showing his true form. While this is happening, Mob’s percentage continues to increase. After a while, Mob realizes the roots are draining his powers. Dimple tries to use Tsubomi to convince Mob to stop. However, this only angers Mob even more. Dimple changes his form and turns into a golden, muscular figure. He then launches multiple attacks on Mob. Mob claims Dimple is putting up a facade, which he refuses to acknowledge. Dimple shoots an energy beam at Mob, pissing him off. Mob asks Dimple if this is where they say their goodbyes. Dimple indirectly punches Mob, and the shockwave sends Mob’s uniform top away. He says Mob’s monkey shirt is lame, and Mob finally reaches 100%.
