Kagurabachi chapter 39 recap
Kagurabachi chapter 39, titled “Surpass,” starts with Hakuri transporting the fake prisoners outside Kyora’s storehouse, where they were all stationed. Char asks Inazuma if his sister is among the prisoners just rescued. Elsewhere, Kyora strengthens his defenses to prevent Chihiro and Hakuri from stealing more from him.
Chihiro figures the only way to save anyone would be to kill Kyora. He tells him it’s a fight to the death. However, Kyora remains unfazed, telling the swordsman that Hakuri has already reached his limit. The chapter reveals that maintaining consciousness in the storehouse for an extended period could fry one’s brain.
Meanwhile, Kyora’s projection at the auction house continues the proceedings for the auction. Chihiro and Kyora resume their fierce battle, as the protagonist rebukes the clan leader for not mourning his children. However, Kyora tells him he was a clan leader before being a father. He uses his Kuro Shred technique on Kyora but counters it by summoning the terrain to act as armor.
Chihiro launches his sword at him, but Kyora deflects it and hurls grenades. However, Hakuri uses the last bits of his energy to put Chihiro behind Kyora. Despite the latter’s fast reaction, Hakuri tricks him with an afterimage, allowing Chihiro to land a devastating attack. The chapter ends by showing Kyora with the Shinuchi blades box.
