As Fantasy or Wuxia is one of the most popular genres within Chinese drama world, this year will provide a treasure trove of new dramas. Adapted from the web novel “Qing Yu Nian” by Mao Ni, Joy of life is a fantasy drama , set the ancient empire of Southern Qing. Fan Xian (Zhang RUO Yun) is a man born in ancient China with memories of the 21st century. Season 1 & 2 are part of a triology. The season 2 is all set to release some time in 2024.
3. Chinese Paladin 4:
Adapted from the popular RPG of the same name, the drama is all set to come out in January,2024. The drama will follow the story of Yun Tian He (Chen Zhe Yuan) who sets out on a journey to find out about his parents’ past.The upcoming Chinese fantasy drama is an iqiyi original and is all set to release in the first half of 2024.
4. Moonlight Mystique:
On her journey to attain immortality, Bai Shuo (Bai Lu) saves a power deity Fan Yue (Ao Rui Peng). After many complications, they fall for each other. The drama is adapted from the popular novel “Bai Shuo Shang Shen” by Xing Ling and is all set to release in 2024.
5. A Forbidden Marriage:
Yang Wang Yue of the demon sect wishes to marry Mao Zi Jun of the righteous sect. When she reincarnates, they set out on a journey to find the true evil. With such an interesting storyline, A Forbidden Marriage is one the most anticipated C-dramas of 2024.
6. In Blossom:
This Liu Xue Yi and Ju Jing Yi starrer will follow the story of a man who was wrongfully accused of murdering his wife on the wedding night. The drama will be a Youku original and releases in 2024. In Blossom is a story of resurrection and vengeance.
7. Dashing Youth:
Adapted from “Shao Nian Bai Ma Zui Chun Feng” by Zhou Mu Nan, the drama will air on Youku in 2024. It will follow the story of Bai Li Dong Jun. Even though he was not academically blessed, he knew how to make great wine.
