While February 2022 has big games like the Saints Row reboot, Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, and Horizon Forbidden West just to name a few, March had its share of heavy hitters, too, like Gran Turismo 7, Midnight Suns, and Grand Theft Auto V. However, now the month is a little lighter as Firaxis Games has decided to delay Marvel’s Midnight Suns to the second half of 2022.

The game’s official Twitter account announced the push. In the message, the team described the “very tough decision” to move the strategy game out of March and into the nebulous “second half of 2022” for all platforms, which includes PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The studio simply explained that it needed more time to “make this the best game possible.” Firaxis even went a little further, saying that the extra months would let the team “add more story, cinematics, and overall polish.”

The card-based RPG was only recently announced in August after reports of its existence began to leak out. The announcement was bundled with a vague March 2022 date. A full gameplay reveal came a week after its reveal, showing its tactical gameplay in action. The team revealed even more gameplay soon after, showing Wolverine and Sabretooth in action.
