Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog are in for a treat, as a Lego set based on the iconic video game series was announced as part of Lego’s Ideas platform.

The latest Lego set comes from 24-year-old UK-based superfan Viv Grannell and will have players building the iconic Green Hill Zone from the original video game series. The new Lego set is set to release both online and in Lego stores on January 1, 2022, and will retail for $69.99. The new set will be 1,125 pieces and include five minifigures, including Sonic, Crabmeat, Moto Bug, Dr. Eggman, and the Phantom Ruby.
The new Lego set will also include 10 ring boxes for fans to set up along the build, as well as some interactive elements and easter eggs to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, including:

A Technic lever on the spring module to launch Sonic and his friends into the air

Sit Dr Eggman inside the Egg Robot

Just like in the game – get a gem reward as you build the set
