The report, as stated by Kotaku, notes that the adaptation of the Yakuza spin-off series will be made for Asahi Television, with a temporary title of Sabakarezaru, meaning The Unjudged. The report also notes that there are tentative plans to create a movie adaptation to go along with the television series as well.
Nikkan Gendai also notes that Japanese actor and pop star Takuya Kimura — who voices and provides the facial model for lead character Takayuki Yagami in both Judgment and Lost Judgment — will be involved with the series. Kimura is currently involved with another popular crime drama in Japan, BG Personal Bodyguard, but the report notes that the actor is not interested in returning for a third season.
