Even though The Callisto Protocol had a surprise appearance at Sony’s recent State of Play, Summer Game Fest Live had even more about Striking Distance Studios’ upcoming horror game. Geoff Keighley’s show had a longer look at the title, which showcased more of its gameplay in action as well as a gorier version of the State of Play trailer.

The bloodier trailer was edited by Striking Distance Studios Founder and CEO Glen Schofield, who people might know from his work on the earlier Dead Space games. Expect to see some similar scenes from the State of Play trailer, but with added gore, especially in the latter half.

There was also a longer, uncut gameplay demo, showing the game in action. As if the Dead Space connections weren’t already clear enough, this short preview made them even more clear.
