Justin Roiland’s Shooter, High On Life, Delayed Out of October

October 2022 is chock full of video game releases, but now it has one less game in its lineup. High On Life, the wacky first-person shooter from Justin Roiland’s Squanch Games, has been delayed out of October and is now releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 13. It will also still be on Game Pass the same day, too.

As is a tradition for many game developers, Squanch took to Twitter to explain the seven-week delay. It was firm that the title was still coming in 2022, but the studio needed more time to squash some bugs and develop the “best gaming experience.”

As an “apology,” the studio released a bizarre animation about a person trying to find a partner for his son. It’s irreverent and about in line with the other weird videos Squanch Games has on its YouTube channel.

October is still a packed time for game releases, as A Plague Tale: Requiem, Gotham Knights, Bayonetta 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare IIMario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Dragon Ball Breakers, and Resident Evil Village‘s DLC are all just some of the titles releasing that month.
