Terminator 2D: No Fate release date announced

New Terminator Video Game Trailer Showcases Gameplay, Difficulty Settings

Bitmap Bureau recently revealed a game overview trailer that showcases new gameplay for Terminator 2D: No Fate. One of the most notable features it focuses on is its difficulty settings, which will allow anyone to experience the game in full.

What are the Terminator 2D: No Fate difficulty settings?

Along with the new trailer, a PlayStation Blog post from Bitmap’s Design Director and Programmer Mike Tucker gives players a good explanation of what to expect from the Terminator 2D: No Fate difficulty settings. When starting any of the game’s various modes, players can choose from four different difficulty options, with the hardest unlocking after completing the Mother of the Future Mode. Here are the four difficulty options from easiest to hardest:

  • Easy Money (Easy)
  • No Problemo (Normal)
  • Hasta La Vista (Hard)
  • Judgment Day (Very Hard)

The post explains that the differences between each difficulty option will make changes to enemy placement and damage output, as well as the number of continues a player has and if a time limit is enabled. Examples include a fight with a giant mech called the Centurion. The mech’s shots go significantly faster on harder difficulties, making it much more difficult to avoid.

The new trailer for Terminator 2D: No Fate shows all the characters and modes players will be able to play. There will be three playable characters: Sarah Connor, the T-800, and John Connor. Players will fight through 15 levels in a unique retelling of the beloved film, Terminator 2. The modes include Story Mode, Boss Rush Mode, Infinite Mode, Mother of the Future, and Arcade Mode.

Terminator 2D: No Fate launches on October 31 for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
