Sand Land Trailer Features an Iconic & Fitting Song

The latest Sand Land trailer for the upcoming anime video game features an iconic song that fits the aesthetic of the franchise rather well. The game is set to release on April 26.

As you may be able to recognize from the video, the recent Sand Land trailer is set to the 1999 Darude song “Sandstorm.” In addition to its name lining up with that of Sand Land, the song is also well-known for its online meme status. As the song plays in the video, the game’s characters and story are further showcased.

Sand Land is a shonen manga series created by Akira Toriyama. Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump serialized the manga from May 22, 2000, to August 28, 2000. There are 14 chapters, available in one volume. It was released on November 2, 2000, in Japan. Meanwhile, Viz Media handled the North American and English release of the series. They released the English volume on December 24, 2003.

What is Sand Land about?

“In the far future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren wasteland where the supply of water is controlled by the greedy king.
