The movie’s official announcement came through The Hollywood Reporter in October 2022. After, James Wan spoke with Collider to reveal that Last Rites will be “potentially wrapping up” the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, so the creatives will take their time to get the film right.
With the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes, we can be sure that the production has certainly been delayed. If it wasn’t for the strikes, then fans might have been able to expect it to arrive in 2024. But the strikes have surely pushed the project to arrive sometime in 2025.

The plot of the next Conjuring movie is unknown.
