What does Black Flash do in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Black Flash is a distortion in space that happens when cursed energy is applied to a physical strike or hit within one millionth of a second. When this happens, the user’s cursed energy turns black and there are sparks. This becomes a great power-up to a user’s normal strike. When they use Black Flash, the destructive power of their hit is multiplied by 2.5.
It’s not easy to pull off Black Flash since it needs remarkable concentration skills. Not even Satoru Gojo can do the technique at will. According to Kento Nanami, when one accomplishes a Black Flash for the first time, the user gets “in the zone” — a state where controlling cursed energy turns into something simple like breathing. Because of this, the user brings out 120% of their maximum potential.

Black Flash Record in JJK
There is a record for jujutsu sorcerers who have used Black Flash consecutively. The current record for the most number of consecutive Black Flashes is four. Nanami holds the previous record of four Black Flashes, which he did during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons in Kyoto.
Yuji Itadori is now also tied with Nanami for the most number of Black Flashes. The first time he did this was after Todo taught him how to control his cursed energy while timing it with his punches. He did four while they were fighting Hanami.
