What happened to One Piece animator José B. Rebolledo on X?

It began with another X (Twitter) user named Óscar Bartolomé. After mentioning that he watched an episode of One Piece, he included an AI-generated image of a wanted poster of Luffy in his tweet. José B. Rebolledo responded to Bartolomé’s tweet, saying that Bartolomé should “Learn how to color properly, or learn how to draw to begin with.” Bartolomé responds with another tweet, telling Rebolledo “Not even in your dreams would you be able to make an illustration like this.”

Check out their exchange below:

Rebolledo clapped back by saying “I can do better, I can animate it, because I’ve been ANIMATING FOR ONE PIECE YOU IDIOT.” Alongside this was an image from the anime showing the names of the staff. Rebolledo’s name is credited on the photo. As of writing, Rebolledo’s tweet has now been deleted. But many anime fans on social media have already seen the exchange between the two Twitter users.
