Actor Josh Gad (Wolf Like Me) is slated to make his debut as a feature-film director with the project. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who received Oscar nods for The Disaster Artist, are developing the script from Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby’s biographical book The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts. Lorne Michaels and Erin David will produce through their Broadway Video banner. Paul Walter Hauser, who won a Golden Globe Award for Black Bird, will portray Farley in the film. The project has the full support of Farley’s family, as per Variety.
If filming begins this year, the Chris Farley Biopic can premiere in 2025 at the earliest.
