The upcoming romantic comedy Chinese drama Smile Code has released a trailer, teasing the anticipated show. It features popular actors Lin Yi and Shen Yue in the lead roles. The series is an adaptation of Zu Le’s novel Lost Laughter.
It tells the story of Gu Yi (Shen Yue), a talk-show actress who is broke and struggles to make ends meet. Meanwhile, Liang Daiwen (Lin Yi) is an audience member who suffers from alexithymia, a disease that makes it difficult for him to make acquaintances. The duo has completely contrasting personalities.
While Gu Yi is kind and bubbly, Daiwen is rigid in his ways and non-friendly. As they struggle to live in the bustling city of Shanghai, they get closer and become friends. Love starts to blossom between them, and they unknowingly heal each other.

The newly released trailer for Smile Code shows Gu Yi and Daiwen finding solace in each other’s arms and becoming each other’s saviors. When Gu Yi first learns about Daiwen’s disorder, she is shocked but can not help but feel attracted to him. Meanwhile, Daiwen is ready to accept his dull and loveless life, but Gu Yi gives him hope. He calls himself greedy for wanting to be close to her. They are enticed by each other, and their relationship soon turns carnal. Will Gu Yi be able to mend his frigid heart with her love?
Other than the lead actors, Smile Code will also feature Ye Xiao Wei, Ophelia Yang, Han Ye, Zuo Xiao Long, Zheng Yu Jia, Zhang Tian Ai, Fang Zi Bin, Tang Xu, Luo Yan, Zhang Cheng He, Yang Yu Ting, Yan Qin, and Lu Xin in pivotal roles. Zou Ting Wei will also appear as a guest in the drama. Randy Che is the director of the drama.
