Despite the speculation, there’s no official confirmation that Speed, aka IShowSpeed, is in the GTA 6 trailer 2.
The theory exploded after Speed and his brother Jamal reacted to GTA 6’s second trailer, which Rockstar Games surprise-dropped on May 6, 2025. During their livestream, they spotted something that sent fans into a frenzy. It made viewers think, could this really mean Speed has a role in the biggest game of the decade?
At around 2 minutes and 30 seconds into the trailer, the game leads Jason and Lucia drive past an auto shop with a sign that reads “Watkins Auto Parts.” For most viewers, it was just another fictional business in the game’s immersive world. But for Speed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., it was a jaw-dropping moment.
“I’m in the game! I’m in the game!” Speed shouted excitedly, pointing out that the shop shared his last name. His brother, Jamal, also joined in. Fueling the moment further, he claimed during the stream that Watkins Auto Parts was once a family business started by their great-grandfather. To support the story, he even called his father, who backed up the claim by saying the business dated back to the 1950s post-Korean War era.
