Inside Edition: Who Replaced Deborah Norville as Host?

After Deborah Norville announced her departure from Inside Edition back in April, the CBS program has managed to land her replacement. Norville has held the iconic position for over 30 years. She was also largely responsible for shaping the segment.

Is Eva Pilgrim the new Inside Edition host after Deborah Norville’s exit?

Yes, CBS has confirmed that Eva Pilgrim has joined to replace Deborah Norville in Inside Edition.

Eva Pilgrim is best known as the co-anchor of GMA3, the early afternoon spinoff of Good Morning America. Taking a slightly different approach, Pilgrim will now head Inside Edition, which is renowned for its entertainment, true crime, lifestyle, and tabloid news segments.

Despite the show originally having a different approach under David Frost and Bill O’Reilly, it changed under Norville. The latest change will be a significant one as Norville led the show for three decades before departing.

“We feel like we won the jackpot to have Eva join our team as the next anchor of Inside Edition,” Charles Lachman, the show’s executive producer, said, “She has solid news chops from her years as a reporter and anchor in national and local news, plus a warm relatability that resonates with audiences. We look forward to having a journalist of her caliber take Inside Edition into its next chapter” (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Pilgrim also seemed more than pleased to join the legendary CBS show. “Anchoring Inside Edition is truly a dream job,” she said. She described herself as “an avid viewer and fan of the show for many years.” The anchor continued, “I’m pinching myself that I get to work with this amazing team. It’s truly an honor to join a show with such a long, rich history.”

Now with Eva Pilgrim having crossed to the other side, ABC will also have to find a replacement for Pilgrim.
