Conner Floyd’s time in The Young and the Restless has come to an end as fans see the last of Chance on the CBS soap. The popular character received a dramatic end when he died in the arms of Cane Ashby. Floyd’s castmates have expressed overwhelming support and encouragement for the actor following his departure.

On July 29, Conner Floyd penned a heartfelt farewell note on his Instagram, bidding adieu to his Young and Restless character, Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV. The post featured a cheerful montage of Floyd and his castmates behind the scenes.
“It’s been real GC. What a ride. I have truly been blessed to call myself a citizen of Genoa City. To share the stage with so many talented and hard working actors, creatives and crew members,” Floyd wrote.
“This is without a doubt a special place. I’m grateful to have been a part of such an iconic piece of art that has lasted through the decades and that has such a stellar, die hard fan base,” he stated.
Several Young and the Restless cast members who shared the screen with Floyd flocked to the comment section to express their love and support for the actor. Billy Flynn, who plays Cane Ashby, referred to Chance dying in his arms, commenting, “It was an honor to tenderly hold you while you passed on. You’re the man!”
Melissa Ordway, who plays Chance’s ex-wife Abby Newman, wrote, “You’re a rockstar… so excited for your next chapter!” Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) chimed in as well, stating, “We love you SOOOO much!! You are a JOY!!! So sad to not see you on set… but…. You are gonna kill on days!!”
Meanwhile, Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) penned, “? you will be greatly missed. Glad I was afforded the opportunity to not only work with you, but to also get to know you and to be able to call you a friend. ???”
Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair) reminisced about working together with Floyd, commenting, “Loved every cop/lawyer scene we hung on to each other for rooting for you to get your line then I’ll get mine ?Thank goodness we’ll see each other around the soap hood and excited for what you’re doing next!”
