The Young and the Restless’s Michael Graziadei shared his plans for the upcoming Daytime Emmys. In the past, Graziadei was nominated twice in the Younger Actor category. However, the actor earned his first Supporting Actor nomination this year.
Here’s what the actor said about his plans for the awards.
Michael Graziadei says Daytime Emmys will double as date night for him and fiancée Lauren Carey
Michael Graziadei, who plays Daniel Romalotti in The Young and the Restless, spoke about his plans for the award show.
Graziadei revealed to Soap Opera Digest that the award show will double as a date night for him and his fiancée, Lauren Carey. The two are parents to twin sons, Oliver Bear and Arlo Wilde. “We’re definitely gonna get a sitter for the kids that night, so that’ll be nice. A fun night out for Mom and Dad,” he explained.
Additionally, the 46-year-old actor shared his excitement to meet his friends from the industry. “I have friends that work in the industry, that have shows that are nominated as well, through Netflix, Amazon, and other networks. So I’m going to have a lot of friends there. People that I don’t always get to hang out with on a daily basis,” Graziadei said, excitedly.
Graziadei also showcased enthusiasm for his nomination, saying, “This is the first one that… I’m not trying to take anything away from the other nominations, but this is the first one that kind of feels real,” and added, “I know I’m in with some heavy hitters.”
While talking about sending his tape for consideration, Graziadei spoke about several scenes from Heather’s murder storyline, which helped him create a reel for his award consideration. “It all just seemed to be a nice flow and a good show of what I was capable of acting with other people and a good emotional range as well,” the actor shared.
