He’s “the brains” of Marshall’s latest
Focus Features has informed Shock that Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) is the latest addition to Neil Marshall’s anticipated Doomsday. Busy as all hell, McDowell is literally fresh off of Rob Zombie’s Halloween and is enjoying a healthy run in NBC’s “Heroes.”
Nearing its final month of shooting, Doomsday stars Rhona Mitra and Bob Hoskins as a pair sent to retrieve a cure for the deadly Reaper virus, a plague that has pretty much made the UK a wasteland. McDowell will be playing Kane, an expert on the Reaper strain.
Marshall will be heading on over to Los Angeles, from South Africa (where Doomsday is lensing), next month where he’ll be one of the guests at Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors convention in Burbank, CA. Of course, Shock will be there in full effect, so look out for that coverage and more on Doomsday.
