Remake moves to April
Screen Gems has bumped its Prom Night remake to April 11th. The Nelson McCormick-directed redux starring Brittany Snow and Johnathan Schaech was originally slated for February 1st. At the moment “Night” has no competition in its new early-Spring bow but the shift is strange given the success horror films have recently been finding in the January/February months. Last year, Hostel and When a Stranger Calls came out on top in their respective opening weeks; this year The Messengers shot to number one over Super Bowl weekend.
In this update penned by J.S. Cardone, Snow plays a high school student who is about to celebrate the night of her life, however, a vengeful, blood-thirsty stalker is determined to ruin all of that. Shock was on the set of Prom Night so keep it here for all of the latest updates.
