The entire first season on DVD
Driving around yesterday, a thought pierced my mind real random-like. “When the hell is Showtime’s ‘Dexter’ coming on DVD?” I thought. Here’s my answer. The entire first season (four discs) is streeting on August 21st with the following special features:
– 1.85 anamorphic widescreen
– English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
– Two Episode Commentaries by Cast
– Academy of Blood Featurette
– Showtime Series Episodic Download
– Two episodes of “Brotherhood”
Culled from Jeff Lindsay’s “Darkly Dreaming Dexter,” the series follows Dexter Morgan, a Miami P.D. lab tech (an expert in blood splatter) who is a serial killer of serial killers, to put it bluntly. Michael C. Hall is the title character and, to interject some personal thoughts, brings a lot to this series with his subtle nuances and dry wit. Terrific show. Thankfully, Showtime renewed for a second season. Can’t imagine where they’re going to take the character now…
