DVD release details
Update: Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release the film on DVD April 27.
Back in October, we brought you the trailer to the Sophie Monk (The Hills Run Red) supernatural horror flick Pearblossom.
Now, according to the Bleiberg Entertainment website, the feature seems to have undergone a name change to Life Blood. While the site doesn’t list a potential release date, we did find the new cover image there, pictured left. Also, the RHI Entertainment website has a listing for Life Blood available for RHI On Demand. There’s also a handful of hot new photos from the flick right here.
Life Blood also stars “babysitter twin” Electra Avellan, Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween II), Charles Napier (Rambo), Angela Lindvall, Danny Woodburn and Patrick Renna.
Synopsis: It’s New Year’s Eve, 1968: While driving on the Pearblossom Highway, a lesbian couple (played by Sophie Monk of “The Hills Run Red” and “Date Movie”; and Anya Lahiri of the “Goal” series) find themselves face to face with the creator of the universe (played by Victoria’s Secret supermodel Angela Lindvall). Laid to rest for 40 years, the women wake up on New Year’s Day as reborn creatures. Now, they walk the earth fighting in the eternal battle of good and evil, not alway certain which side they are on.
Also starring new horror/genre icons Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie’s “Halloween I & II”), Patrick Renna (“Dark Ride”), Electra Avellan (Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s “Grindhouse”), Danny Woodburn (“Watchmen”) and Charles Napier (“The Silence Of The Lambs”).
