Eduardo Sanchez, co-director of The Blair Witch Project, has carved a rather impressive path through horror with ambitious films like Altered and Seventh Moon. He’s back again with Lovely Molly, a flick playing to Toronto International Film Festival audiences this week.
A teaser trailer is here, and it looks pretty good as it bounces between traditional filmmaking and home video footage.
Gretchen Lodge leads the cast which also includes Alexandra Holden and Johnny Lewis.
Synopsis: When newlywed Molly Reynolds returns to her long-abandoned family home, frightful reminders of a nightmarish childhood begin seeping into her new life. She soon begins an inexorable descent into evil that blurs the lines between psychosis and possession.
