Boom! Studios have just debuted a new teaser image for an upcoming series, which will be based on John Carpenter’s Escape from New York. Check it out after the jump!
It would appear that after the success of their Big Trouble in Little China series from The Goon creator Eric Powell, Boom! will be venturing into the realm of another Carpenter character, Snake Plissken! Expect official details on this to be revealed later this week at San Diego Comic-Con but for now bask in the glory of the official teaser image.
The cult classic film debuted in 1981 with Kurt Russell in the fan favorite role. It went on to spawn a sequel with 1996’s Escape from LA. This doesn’t mark the first time that Plissken has made the jump to comics either as he previously appeared in Marvel’s The Adventures of Snake Plissken as well as the later published John Carpenter’s Snake Plissken Chronicles.
