Zombie launched an official site RZ-31.com and we’re now learning…31 is going to be a crowd-funded effort. My, how times have changed for filmmakers, eh? It’s interesting to see his adopt to this method of financing after previous efforts like Tyrannosaurus Rex and Broadstreet Bullies (his hockey film) fell through.
Still, I’m loving the concept for the film.
31 has no rules. 31 has no boundaries. It is ever so simple. Do whatever you can do to kill your opponent before they kill you. Keep this up for 12 hours and freedom is yours.
The site is brimming with concept art, videos and the details you need to know to participate in the project which tells of five people who are abducted on Halloween and face myriad masked, maniacal threats.
In the video below, Zombie explains why he is crowd-funding the project. I’m sure he’ll have no problem getting the cash for this film.
