The month keeps getting better and better for Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan. The epic blockbuster witnessed a massive jump on National Cinema Day and has now crossed Rs 1130 crore worldwide.
Jawan is keeping its winning streak as it managed to collect over Rs 4.79 crore in a single day. The film is inching closer to its Rs 650 crore mark in the country. On the occasion of National Cinema Day (October 13, 2023), tickets for Jawan were available at just Rs 99. This played a big role in increasing its sales and box office collection.
After the success of the film, actor Shah Rukh Khan held a press conference and spoke about the soaring numbers. He said, “It’s a celebration. We rarely get a chance to live with a film for years. The making of Jawan has been going on for four years due to Covid and time constraints. There were a lot of people involved in this film, especially people from the South who came and settled in Mumbai. They have been living in Mumbai for the last four years and working day and night for this film, which is the hardest work ever.”
When is Jawan releasing on OTT?
As per many reports, the action-packed thriller will premiere on Netflix on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday November 2, 2023. The superstar will release Jawan online as a gift to his fans, as part of the grand celebrations on his special day.
The film is co-written and directed by Atlee, marking it as his Bollywood debut. Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma, under Red Chillies Entertainment, are the producers of the film. The premise of Jawan revolves around a man driven by a personal vendetta to rectify the wrongs in society. He then comes face to face with a monstrous outlaw who has caused extreme suffering to many.

Jawan stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, among other popular faces from Bollywood and South Indian cinema. Fans can also expect a special appearance by Deepika Padukone, alongside Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra in supporting roles.
Jawan’s total Indian net box office collection shattered all records by crossing Pathaan’s lifetime domestic collection of Rs 543 crore. The film was released in dubbed versions in the Tamil and Telugu languages as well.
