Panchayat is one of the most beloved series on the internet. After watching both seasons of this series, fans eagerly await the OTT release of Panchayat season 3. However, Amazon Prime Video recently confused fans about its release after the platform removed the show’s third season from its upcoming list.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and created by The Viral Fever, it was released on Amazon Prime Video. This series features Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwar in significant roles.
The series’ plot revolves around Abhishek Tripathi (Jitendra Kumar), who completed his graduation in engineering. Later, he joins as a Panchayat Secretary in the fictional village of Phulera of Uttar Pradesh. He joins this post due to a lack of job opportunities. After joining, he faces many difficulties and challenges in the village. As it is, the story is an exploration of how he comes to deal with the problems.
Panchayat received a rating of 8.9/10 on IMDB. Having premiered on Amazon Prime Video, the series received mostly positive responses from critics. The series was shot in a real Panchayat office in the village Mahodiya of Sehore, Madhya Pradesh.
Is Jitendra Kumar Panchayat season 3 delayed?
As mentioned earlier, Amazon Prime Video removed the Panchayat season 3 from its upcoming list. Earlier, the OTT platform indicated that the series would be available for streaming on January 15, 2024. But now that it has been removed from the upcoming list, it has disappointed viewers.
Moreover, no official update has been given from the platform regarding the release of the third season of Panchayat. Initially, it was expected to stream on December 30 or 31, 2023, but no official announcement was made on the same. Following this, January 15, 2024, was considered as the date of release. However, with the recent removal of the show’s third season, it seems the Panchayat season 3 may be delayed further.
Since the uncertainty in the release date of Panchayat season 3 left viewers puzzled, it remains to be seen when Amazon Prime Video will share an update about the same.
