After a long break, the Telugu film industry will see another star-studded flick, Tillu Square. Touted to be a romance comedy, the movie marks the official sequel to Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s hit film DJ Tillu. After two years, the actor is reprising his role as DJ Tillu, and fans are eagerly waiting for it.

Anupama has become one of the busiest actresses in the Telugu film industry following the success of the 2022 film Karthikeya 2. She was last seen in Ravi Teja’s starrer Eagle and Jayam Ravi’s Siren. Therefore, Tillu Square will mark the actress’s third release in 2024.
The Premam actress has been roped to play the leading lady with a notorious side. Her sensational scenes with Jonnalagadda became the talk of the town soon after the film’s trailer came out. With her curly hair and fit physique, the actress is ready to mesmerize her fans. The trailer suggests that Parameswaran’s role is extremely important to the story as Tillu’s life changes after he meets her. According to OTTplay, Parameswaran has increased her paycheck for the movie. While she used to allegedly charge a little over $120K per movie, for DJ Tillu, her paycheck was doubled to $241K.
Muralidhar Goud and Praneeth Reddy Kallem are also playing supporting roles in the movie.
Talking about the upcoming film’s plot, Tillu Square revolves around DJ Tillu and his new adventures. His life changes when he meets Lilli. Moreover, when he allegedly witnesses a murder, things take a dramatic turn.
Mallik Ram has directed the movie, while Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas have bankrolled it. Ram Miriyala has given the film’s music that has already wooed the audience.

Jonnalagadda is again playing DJ Tillu in Tillu Square.
The actor allegedly felt the pressure of playing the role, seeing how the previous movie was loved by the viewers. As per OTTplay, the actor once revealed how people have high hopes for the movie. He revealed that he wanted to focus completely on the movie as he did not want to spoil it for the viewers. He said, “I know the expectations put on this film and I did not want to ruin them by releasing a half-baked project. So, I worked on the script and made sure that the film has top-notch entertainment.”
Tillu Square’s pre-release business is already looking impressive. Ahead of the movie’s release, it is expected to mint good numbers at the box office. Therefore, its box-office collection would be a sight to watch. Moreover, the movie’s OTT rights have already been sold, per reports. The news outlet 123telugu.com reported that Netflix has bagged the movie’s digital streaming rights. The deal was a fancy one as the rights were allegedly sold for a whopping $4.2 million (approx.).
Initially, the movie was slated to release on February 12 but was delayed to give Ravi Teja’s Eagle a solo release. The movie is now scheduled to release on March 29, 2024.
