The teaser opens with the words, “Somewhere in the sea…,” and introduces viewers to the Royal Estate, presumably the domain of Suriya’s character. As the camera pans, Suriya’s gang members stand at the entrance, setting an eerie scene. “A love, a laughter, a war, awaits for the one…!” teases the clip as Suriya, with a rugged look, makes his entrance. Holding a cigarette and pointing a gun at the camera, Suriya features as the character of The One, a fierce gangster.
The buzz around Suriya 44 started in June when the filmmakers released a video announcing the beginning of the shoot. Suriya’s retro look in the film had fans eagerly awaiting more details. Alongside Suriya, the film stars Pooja Hegde, who recently wrapped up the first schedule after a month of shooting in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
