The Matchmakers Episode 11 Trailer Teases Rowoon, Cho Yi-Hyun’s Split

KBS released The Matchmakers Episode 11 trailer ahead of its premiere on Tuesday. Starring Rowoon and Cho Yi-Hyun, the K-drama’s upcoming installment features trouble in paradise.

In Episode 10, Jung Soon-Deok, aka Yeo Joo-Daek, confesses that she likes Sim Jung-Woo but cannot be with him because of her feelings for her late husband. The ending showed Jung-Woo telling her that both of them cannot forget their respective dead spouses but they also cannot deny that they like each other.

The two seem to share some swoon-worthy moments in episode 11, as per the recently released trailer. But, it also hints at Soon-Deok wanting to cut ties with Jung-Woo.

Meanwhile, the Defense Minister is worried if Jung-Woo or the King knows that the Left State Minister killed his son eight years ago. The preview further shows Jung-Woo realizing that his chest pain is his power to detect love or potential matches. He appears to be the legendary and mythical matchmaker Ssangyeonsulsa.

The Matchmakers episode 11 trailer ends with Soon-Deok and Jung-Woo standing facing each other. With tears in her eyes, she says, “I think we should never meet again.”

Set in the Joseon era, Jung-Woo is the widowed son-in-law of the King. He gave up his dream job and married the princess, but she died during the wedding ceremony. Soon-Deok, on the other hand, is the widowed daughter-in-law of the Left State Minister. She adopted the Left State Minister’s late eldest son and daughter-in-law’s child. Soon-Deok works as the town’s matchmaker in disguise.
