Bitter Sweet Hell unveils Lee Hye-Young’s photos

Recently, MBC dropped a new set of pictures featuring Lee Hye-Young’s looks as Hong Sa-Gang in the drama Bitter Sweet Hell. As per the drama’s narrative, Sa-Gang plays a controversial mystery novel writer who became the next hot thing in the Korean literary world in the 1970s. She belongs to a wealthy family but falls in love with a poor poet. After having a failed relationship with him, she gets married to her now-husband. She later devotes all her time to having a perfect family. She takes care of their son, Jae Jin. However, she restricts her daughter-in-law, who becomes more popular than she ever was.

In the recently released pictures, Lee Hye-Young looks sophisticated. In the photos, she is wearing a blue velvety robe and is reading a book with all her concentration. She completes her look with bright red spectacles, adding a quirk to her personality. She flaunts her curled-up bob haircut and spreads her vibrancy. As reported by OSEN, she shared why she chose to do this drama. She said (originally in Korean), “I decided because I believed that Director Lee Dong-hyun’s directing skills, which have depth, humor, and calm space, would give us comfort, laughter, and emotion.”

Viewers are expecting to see great chemistry between Lee Hye-Young and Kim Hee-Sun. Bitter Sweet Hell will premiere on May 24, 2024, at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC.
