Episode 10 of Lovely Runner aired on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, on tvN and Viki. In the latest episode, audiences see Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) having questions about Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) after she tells him that she is from the future. However, initially, it is hard for him to believe the truth about Im Sol’s time travel.
Lovely Runner episode 10 also shows Im Sol finding out that Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon Hee) is the son of the detective who is investigating the taxi driver’s case. Sol also tells Kim Tae Sung that she has come from the future. She then asks him to tell his father to save Ryu Sun Jae instead of her in the future. The biggest highlight of the episode is Ryu Sun Jae finally realizing that Sol has time-traveled to the past from the future.
Lovely Runner Episode 10: Byeon Woo Seo finally realizes that Kim Hye Yoon has come from the future
Episode 10 of Lovely Runner begins with Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) trying to explain to Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) how she has returned to the past through time travel. She also talks about his watch, which has been working as a time machine for her. However, it is quite hard for Sun Jae to believe the truth. On top of that, his university friends make him believe that it must be a new strategy for Sol to reject him. Thus, he feels upset, but he is still questioning things.
Later on, viewers see Im Sol getting extremely jealous of another girl at her university. The girl tries to go out on dates with Sun Jae. She even tells him she likes him and leans in to kiss him. However, Sun Jae stops her. But Sol witnesses everything, and from her angle, it looks like the two have kissed. Thus, she runs away from there. At night, Sun Jae asks her if she has felt upset after seeing him with another girl. Sun Jae then tells her that he will soon go to the U.S. He also asks Sol if she has ever liked him. To protect Sun Jae, Sol lies to him and tells him that she has never liked him. It breaks Sun Jae’s heart.
The next day, in episode 10 of Lovely Runner, Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon Hee) comes to meet Im Sol at the university. Sun Jae sees them together and becomes jealous. However, Kim Tae Sung meets Sol to show his concern and care for her after he finds out about her kidnapping from his father, who is the detective investigating the taxi driver’s case. Sol learns that Tae Sung is the detective’s son, and she feels grateful to Tae Sung for caring about her. She then requests him to ask his father to save Ryu Sun Jae in the future instead of her.
Towards the end of the episode, Sun Jae and Tae Sung help Sol’s mother after water starts to leak inside their shop from the roof. They soon get into some silly bickering. However, that night, Tae Sung has to stay at Sun Jae’s place. There, he tells him that he does not have to be jealous of him. He also hints to Sun Jae that Sol has feelings for him and genuinely likes him. Tae Sung further informs Sun Jae how Sol has asked him to protect Sun Jae instead of her.
Thus, Sun Jae starts to realize that Sol likes him a lot and cares for his safety. However, he has to go to the U.S. Thus, he arrives at the airport, but he is constantly thinking about Sol. Meanwhile, Sun Jae’s friend’s band, Eclipse, makes it through an important round of a big competition with Sun Jae’s song about Sol. They are ecstatic and grateful to Sun Jae.
At the end of Lovely Runner episode 10, the audience sees Im Sol running away from a white truck-type vehicle that is after her. However, she ends up meeting Sun Jae, who has again come to save her. She emotionally lashes out at him, as she wants to protect him from the menacing criminal taxi driver. Thus, Sol asks Sun Jae to go away.
But this time, he does not listen to Sol’s words and embraces her. He then tells her that he knows the truth as he has opened the time capsule and seen Sol’s letter. He has finally realized that Sol is from the future, and she has been trying to distance herself from him to keep him safe. Sun Jae further realizes that he will die in 2023 while trying to protect Sol. But he does not care and just wants Sol to like him back and be with him. Then, in a heartfelt emotional moment, Sun Jae kisses Sol.
