Another factor that added to the series’ success was the songs by its fictional boy band, Eclipse. The group consisted of Woo-Seok, Lee Seung-Hyub, Moon Xion, and Hyuk. Woo-Seok played Ryu Seon-Jae in the drama and was the main vocalist in the band.
The storyline begins with Im Sol (Hye-Yoon), his ardent fan, mysteriously transported to the past after Seon-Jae’s death. She travels multiple timelines to save him. Along the way, she learns that he loves her. One song that defines their relationship is “Sudden Shower,” sung by Woo-Seok. It also featured a fictional boy group, Watermelon Sugar, which performed some of the famous tracks of this series. The OST of Twinkling Watermelon, “Shining,” gained the most popularity. The band consisted of Ryeo-Un as Ha Eun-Gyeol, Choi Hyun-Wook as Ha Yi-Chan, Ahn Do-Kyu as Oh Ma-Joo, Yoon Jae-Chan as Kang Hyun-Yul, Lee Ha-Min as Lee Si-Guk, and Lee Su-Chan as No Se-Bum.

Hospital Playlist is a classic 2020 K-drama about four best friends who are doctors at the same hospital. It dives into the characters’ personal and professional lives. Despite hardships, they maintain their friendship and gather time for rehearsals. As per the storyline, the friends formed a band, Mido and Falasol, during their university period. Later, they re-form the group as adults.
At the end of most episodes, the band performs a song related to the particular episode’s storyline. Mido and Falasol’s tracks include “Oh! You’re Beautiful is a 2009 South Korean drama starring Park Shin-Hye as Ko Mi-Nyeo. In the story, she and her twin brother, Mi-Nam, are brought up at an orphanage. Mi-Nam wins an audition and is set to join a boy band named, A.N.Jell. However, he suffers a botched facial surgery and needs a month to recover. His manager requests Mi-Nyeo to disguise herself as Mi-Nam and survive in the group for a month.
