BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star Disney Plus Docuseries Gets Release Date & Schedule

South Korean boy band BTS knows how to keep their fans well-fed. On Monday, November 20, 2023, the septet announced a new docuseries titled BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star. The series will document the group’s decade long journey, from their debut to their global success and fanbase. It will be available to stream exclusively on Disney Plus on December 20, 2023. Two new episodes will be released every Wednesday.

BTS, which stands for ‘Bangtan Sonyeondan’ in Korean, made their debut in 2013. The seven members comprising the group include leader RM (Kim Namjoon), Jin (Kim Seokjin), Suga (Min Yoongi), J-Hope (Jung Hoseok), Jimin (Park Jimin), V (Kim Taehyung), and Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook). The septet has had their own share of ups and downs, and now, their journey will be shared in detail in the new docuseries.

BTS to share their 10-year journey on BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star

BTS’ journey to achieve global success hasn’t been easy. The septet faced stigma, hate, and many other obstacles to ensure their music reached the right audience. However, the band has amassed millions of fans over the years primarily because of their music and message. The new docuseries, BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, will give a sneak peek into their decade-long journey in music and the challenges they faced.

The docuseries was announced in November 2022, and it will finally be released on December 20, 2023. After the premiere episode, fans, or ARMYs, will have two new episodes every Wednesday. Moreover, Disney Plus has already released the teaser trailer and the poster for the docuseries, where fans can get a glimpse of personal interviews of the members.

The teaser talks about the emotions the septet has gone through over the 10-year-long career. J-Hope describes that they felt every emotion while making music. The rest of the members follow it up with recollections of laughter, tears, and more. Meanwhile, Jin, Jungkook, and RM talk about how the group realized that they made it far.

Suga promised during the announcement teaser that the docuseries will contain stories of their growth and music from their debut to today. V also revealed that it contains candid stories that have never been told before. Besides them, RM shared that there will be a glimpse into their ‘blood, sweat and tears.’ The anticipation cannot be higher as fans await stories from the members.
