Yeseo and Mashiro join as new Limelight members
Limelight currently has three active members: MiU, Suhye, and Gaeun. The group will soon have two new members: Yeseo and Mashiro. Per reports, the two will leave their current group, Kep1er, and join Limelight after July.
The oldest member of Limelight is MiU, aka Ito Miyu. The 21-year-old Japanese member is the official ‘visual’ of the group. MiU joined 143 Entertainment as a trainee in 2021 and got a chance to debut with Limelight in 2022.
Suhye is the second oldest member of the group and the official vocalist. The 20-year-old Korean rookie joined 143 Entertainment in 2022. Before Limelight, K-pop fans have seen her in the MBC reality show My Teenage Girl. Suhye was eliminated in episode 8 after qualifying for Grade 3.
Gaeun is currently the youngest member of Limelight. The 19-year-old Korean artist joined 143 Entertainment in 2021. Fans have loved Gaeun’s charismatic presence and vocals, making her a standout in the group.
Once Yeseo and Mashiro join Limelight, the latter, aka Sakamoto Mashiro, will become the group’s oldest member. Her stellar vocals will make her part of the vocalist unit, and Yeseo will be the second youngest member.
Meanwhile, Limelight has released three extended plays since its debut – Limelight, Love and Happiness, and Last Dance. The group also released a single album, Madeleine, on August 4, 2023.
