Into the Spider-Verse could head to TV

Characters from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Could Head to TV

Sony Pictures is riding high of their animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film’s made over $250 million at the box office less than a month after it’s theatrical release, and just scored the studio’s first win for Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes over the weekend. Now, some of its characters could be swinging their way onto the small screen.

According to The New York Times (via Comic Book Movie), Sony is “considering making animated television shows based on characters introduced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which has collected $276 million at the box office.” Unfortunately, there are no details just yet, but this could mean we’ll see Peni Parker or Spider-Man: Noir in their own stand-alone solo adventures.
