According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winners Sam Rockwell, Octavia Spencer and Allison Janney have joined The Heart, an action comedy from Oscar winners Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (The Descendants).

The film follows a cash strapped couple named Joe and Lucy, played by Rockwell and Spencer, who agree to deliver a human heart from New York to Florida in twenty-four hours. Naturally, they discover the heart is being delivered to a black-market buyer who skipped the donor process, and attempt to take the organ to its rightful owner while thwarting the bad guys.
Janney will play one of the bad guys in what will be her second team up with Rockwell after 2013’s The Way, Way Back, also directed by Faxon and Rash.

The Heart will be produced by Kevin Walsh and Ryan Stowell (Manchester by the Sea) with their Walsh Company banner, with production set to commence in late 2019. Sierra/Affinity will launch international sales at the European Film Market in Berlin, according to the repot.
“Having worked with Nat and Jim on The Way Way Back and both producers on Manchester by the Sea, we have first-hand experience of how they all can brilliantly create an amazing film,” Jonathan Kier, Sierra/Affinity’s president of sales and distribution, said Tuesday in a statement.
