Oscar-winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist, Peaky Blinders) will star alongside Chris Evans (Knives Out, The Gray Man) and Ana de Armas (No Time to Die, Blade Runner 2049) in Apple’s romance action-adventure Ghosted, according to Deadline.
Brody was most recently seen in Wes Anderson’s The French Dispatch, Epix’s Stephen King series adaptation Chapelwaite, the crime drama Clean, and in Season 3 of HBO’s Succession. The actor’s upcoming projects include HBO’s Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, the mystery thriller See How They Run, Andrew Dominik’s Blonde where he will reunite with de Armas, Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, the drama thriller Manodrome opposite Jesse Eisenberg, and The Salamander Lives Twice alongside Vera Farmiga.

Ghosted is written by Deadpool and Zombieland writing duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who successfully pitched the project to Skydance. Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) will direct. Further details about its plot are still being kept under wraps, but it’s being likened to 1984’s classic romantic action-adventure Romancing the Stone.
The project will be produced by Evans, Reese, and Wernick along with Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, as well as Jules Daly. De Armas will executive produce. This marks Evans’ latest collaboration with Apple after starring in last year’s Defending Jacob series.
