Zack Snyder has revealed who will be joining Sofia Boutella (Atomic Blonde, Star Trek Beyond) in his upcoming sci-fi fantasy epic Rebel Moon for Netflix, along with new concept art from the film. The ensemble cast includes Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, The Gentlemen), Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond, A Quiet Place Part II), Doona Bae (Sense8, The Silent Sea), and Ray Fisher (Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Women of the Movement), along with Jena Malone (Goliath, The Neon Demon), Staz Nair (Game of Thrones, Supergirl), E. Duffy (Acid Noir, Girlfriends), Charlotte Maggi (MaveriX), and Sky Yang (Halo, Holding).

Rebel Moon will be directed by Snyder from a screenplay he is co-writing with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad, based on a story by Snyder and Johnstad. Production is slated to begin in April.
The movie “follows an enigmatic young woman who is given the responsibility by a peaceful colony on the outskirts of the galaxy to find warriors who can fend off an impending invasion by the despotic Regent Belisarius,” according to the synopsis.
