John Cena‘s latest film project, Officer Exchange, is now under production at Amazon Studios according to a report by Deadline.
Officer Exchange is an action-comedy where the former WWE Champion plays Shep, a cop who heads to India and teams up with a local officer to hunt down diamond smugglers. The film will see Cena team up once again with producers from his successful Suicide Squad spin-off Peacemaker and feature a script written by Ben Zazove and Evan Turner.

John Cena has been very busy in the years since retiring from his full-time gig as the face of World Wrestling Entertainment. Showing a comedic flair as well as a penchant for villainy, Cena has appeared in everything from major tentpoles like F9 and The Suicide Squad to streaming exclusives like Peacemaker and Hulu’s Vacation Friends.

This prolific output isn’t slowing down anytime soon, either. Officer Exchange is another addition to Cena’s busy moviemaking schedule, a timeline that also includes Looney Tunes revival Coyote vs. Acme and the two-part tenth entry in the Fast and Furious franchise. The actor also has another season of Peacemaker in the planning stages alongside director James Gunn. While it’s still debatable on whether or not he’s caught up to his in-ring rival The Rock in terms of Hollywood success, he’s certainly hot on the trail of The Great One.
