Figment was created in 1983 by Walt Disney Imagineers Tony Baxter and Steve Kirk. Described as the embodiment of the imagining process, the mascot made its debut in the Epcot Center’s Journey Into Imagination pavilion.
The untitled project will be written by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, who are best known for their work on Detective Pikachu and The Addams Family 2. Along with Rogen, Point Grey’s Evan Goldberg and James Weaver are also attached to produce.
