Ahead of Black Adam‘s theatrical debut next week, Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to reveal a brand new exclusive clip from Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly-anticipated DC film. The Black Adam clip gives us an extended look at the anti-hero’s introduction and how brutal he can be in a fight.

The film is currently slated to make its debut on October 21, pitting it against the all-star romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise as well as multiple independent films, including The Banshees of Inisherin and Aftersun.

Black Adam features the introduction of Dwayne Johnson as Teth-Adam or the titular anti-hero, whose background story was first teased during 2019’s Shazam! This marks the character’s live-action debut after only appearing in animated shows and films such as Young Justice.
Joining Johnson is Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Other cast members include Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui, Mo Amer, and Uli Latukefu in undisclosed roles.

Based on the DC Comics character created by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck, the film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Jungle Cruise) from a screenplay written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshiryani. Producers are Johnson, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions along with FlynnPicturesCo’s Beau Flynn, with Scott Sheldon overseeing the project for FlynnPictureCo.
