Vertical Entertainment has released the official trailer for their upcoming drama film titled The God Committee, starring Golden Globe winner Kelsey Grammer, Emmy nominee Julia Stiles and Colman Domingo. The video features a group of doctors who are racing against the clock to make the final decision on which patients will receive the necessary organ transplants coming from an unexpected donor. The film is set to have its world premiere this June 20 at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, which will be followed by a theatrical release on July 2.

When a donor heart unexpectedly arrives at a New York hospital, an organ transplant committee must convene within one hour to decide which of three other patients deserves the life-saving heart. God’s work is now left in the hands of five doctors, including Boxer, a cynical but brilliant heart surgeon; Jordan, an idealistic up-and-comer; and Gilroy, a weary bureaucrat. As the debate over the heart heats up, ethics and bribes clash, leaving the committee members to question what’s more valuable: morals or money?
The God Committee will be led by Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) and Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You), along with Colman Domingo (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Janeane Garofalo (Wet Hot American Summer), and Dan Hedaya (The First Wives Club).

The Gold Committee is written and directed by Austin Stark (The Runner). Producers are Stark, Molly Conners, Amanda Bowers, Jonathan Rubenstein, Ari Pinchot, Jane Oster, Vincent Morano, Benji Kohn, and Bingo Gubelman.
