HBO Max has revealed the official KIMI trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s next collaboration with the streamer, which will be led by The Batman star Zoë Kravitz. The thriller film is scheduled to make its debut on Thursday, February 10.
The video highlight the titular voice-activated assistant device where it records every sound and image of your home. It features an agoraphobic woman who hears a violent crime while reviewing a data stream. In order to help, she is forced to face her fears of going outside her apartment to venture into an unknown environment.

KIMI is directed by Soderberg from a screenplay written by David Koepp, who is serving as a producer. Joining Kravitz are Rita Wilson, Byron Bowers, Jaime Camil, Jacob Vargas, Derek DelGaudio, Erika Christensen, Devin Ratray, and Andy Daly.
“The film follows an agoraphobic tech worker who discovers recorded evidence of a violent crime during an ordinary data stream review and tries reporting it up the chain of command at her company,” reads the synopsis. “Meeting with resistance and bureaucracy, she realizes that in order to get involved, she will have to do the thing she fears the most — leave her apartment.”

This marks Soderbergh’s third project with the streaming service and studio, with his first being the Meryl Streep-starring dramedy Let Them Talk that debuted to rave reviews, and the second being his ensemble thriller No Sudden Move.
