Apple Original Films has released an official trailer for Luck, the upcoming fantasy adventure animated film from Skydance Animation. It is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, August 5, exclusively on Apple TV+.
The Luck trailer, which you can check out below, highlights Sam Greenfield’s unluckiness. This suddenly changes when she finds an actual lucky penny, which makes life much easier for her. However, even after possessing a lucky penny, bad luck can’t seem to leave Sam as she accidentally loses the penny. This leads her to meet Bob the Cat, who she follows all the way to the Land of Luck.

The all-star voice cast includes Broadway star Noblezada (Yellow Rose, Miss Saigon) as Sam Greenfield, Jane Fonda (Grace & Frankie) as CEO of Goodluck, Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg as the Captain, Pegg (Ice Age films) as Bob the Cat, Flula Borg (Trolls World Tour) as Jeff the Unicorn, Lil Rel Howery (Free Guy) as Marv, Colin O’Donoghue (Once Upon a Time) as Gerry, John Ratzenberger (Cheers) as Rootie, and Adelynn Spoon (Watchmen) as Hazel.
“Luck centers around the unluckiest girl alive who stumbles upon the never-before-seen world of good and bad luck and must join with magical creatures to uncover a force more powerful than even luck itself,” reads the synopsis.

The magical and adventurous film is directed by Peggy Holmes from a screenplay written by Kiel Murray, Jon Aibel, and Glenn Berger. Producers are John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and David Eisenmann for Skydance Animation.
Along with Luck, Apple and Skydance are also set to premiere another fantasy film titled Spellbound which will feature music from Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken.
