Netflix has revealed an official trailer for Carter, its next South Korean film starring Good Doctor actor Joo Won, who plays a highly-trained agent that wakes up one day with no memory of his identity and life. The action thriller is scheduled to make its debut on August 5.
The video, which you can check out below, provides us with a preview of the film’s non-stop action sequences. The titular character is in constant fighting mode as he tries to complete his mission, which could potentially save the rest of humanity from an ongoing deadly pandemic.

Carter hails from director Jung Byung-gil, who is best known for directing the 2017 South Korean action film The Villainess. Joining Joo Won are Lee Sung-jae, Jeong So-ri, Kim Bo-min, Jung Jae-young, and Jung Hae-kyun.
“A man wakes up missing his memories,” reads the logline. “Directed by a mysterious voice from a device in his ear, he sets off on a hostage rescue mission rife with danger.”

Joo Won is best known for starring in successful Korean dramas such as King of Baking, 7th Grade Civil Servant, Naeil’s Cantabile, Yong-pal, My Sassy Girl, and Good Doctor. The latter is a medical drama that was adapted into an English series by ABC which stars Freddie Highmore.
