CS Video: The Cast of The DUFF

This Friday, CBS films brings to the big screen director Ari Sandel’s new high school comedy The DUFF, starring Mae Whitman (“Parenthood,” Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast), Robbie Amell (“The Tomorrow People,” “The Flash”), Bella Thorne (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, “Shake it Up!”), Bianca Santos (Ouija, Happyland) and Skyler Samuels (The Stepfather, “The Nine Lives of Chloe King”).

Based on the 2010 young adult novel by Kody Keplinger, The DUFF follows a high school senior named Bianca (Whitman), who learns that, because of her extremely attractive and popular friends (Samuels and Santos), she’s now being referred to socially as a “DUFF” (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Horrified at the cruel term, Bianca seeks help from her childhood best friend Wesley (Amell). Now a member of significantly more popular clique, Wesley gives Bianca advice on how to reinvent herself, but both discover along the way that being a DUFF is mostly a state of mind.
