Diablo Cody stops by Most Craved to talk about her new film, Ricki and the Flash!
This week, Most Craved is proud to feature our first Academy Award-winning guest as Diablo Cody stops by the studio! She’s the screenwriter behind next week’s Ricki and the Flash and, on this week’s episode, she’s chatting about working alongside director Jonathan Demme and an immensely talented cast. This week’s hosts include William Bibbiani of CraveOnline, Jenna Busch of Legion of Leia and our own Silas Lesnick.
Ricki and the Flash is headlined by Meryl Streep, who stars as a not-entirely-successful aging rocker. When her daughter’s (Mamie Gummer) marriage falls apart, Ricki is called upon by her well to do ex-husband (Kevin Kline) to try and help. Soon, Ricki finds herself temporarily staying alongside people she left behind to pursue her music career and face to face with a very different lifestyle than the one to which her path ultimately led.
Diablo Cody takes us behind the scenes of the film, revealing how it all came together and what everyone brought to the project. She also chats a bit about her new Amazon series with Tig Notaro and Louis C.K.
