We’re joined in the studio this week by Life in Color writer, director, producer and star Katharine Emmer
After a few weeks of just having two hosts, the entire Most Craved team (Jenna Busch of Legion of Leia, William Bibbiani of CraveOnline and our own Silas Lesnick) are back together in the studio for this, our 88th episode. What’s more, we are thrilled to welcome a guest host this week in creative multi-hyphenate Katharine Emmer. Most Craved fans may recall our on-location SXSW episode from last year in which Emmer’s Life in Color was named as one of our favorites from the 2015 festival. Now, Life in Color is set for release on February 11 and Katharine Emmer — who wrote, directed, produced and stars in the film — is joining us to chat about her first feature film.
Also starring Josh McDermitt (The Walking Dead, Mad Men), Jim O’Heir (Parks and Recreation), Adam Lustick (The Office) and Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately, Last Comic Standing), Life in Color tells the story of two strangers who, after both losing their jobs on the same day, wind up house-sitting together and, in the process, begin to find in one another the emotional support necessary to take on everything that stands between them and their dreams.
In addition to the Life in Color discussion, we’re taking a look at three of the biggest news stories this week. First up, Disney CEO Bob Iger says that Star Wars and Marvel movies “will go on forever.” Will you keep watching them forever or is there such a thing as too much of a good thing?
Next up, we’re discussing Chris Pine’s recent comments about the upcoming Wonder Woman wherein he talks about breaking away from what he considers to be revenge-driven superhero protagonists. Will DC Comics’ Amazon princess offer something that we haven’t seen before?
Finally, we got an interesting tease regarding Zack Snyder’s Justice League in the form of an image that suggest we’ll be seeing Darkseid on the big screen come 2017. Do you think audiences will be paying a visit to Apokolips?
We’ve launched the official Most Craved Twitter feed and we’d love it if you’d give us a follow! What’s more, we’ve now got a visual Most Craved episode guide that you can check out in the gallery viewer at the bottom of this page.
